The client

Kamal Watch Company is one of India's established multi-brand watch retailers, operating a large and growing network of stores across South and East India. Luxury watch retail is a demanding category: high-value inventory, compliance-sensitive transactions, brand-specific merchandising, and customers who expect a checkout experience that matches the product in the box.

At 85 outlets and counting, the business had outgrown the systems running it.

The challenge

Kamal Watch Company's previous setup was a familiar story at scale: a legacy system with a standard operating flow, no user-friendly applications, and processes where a single task required multiple steps across multiple screens.

Three operational problems stood out:

Purchase requisitions moved at the speed of email. Store replenishment requests travelled through multiple approvals and management touchpoints. Each request meant waiting — and waiting meant operational delays that compounded across a 85-store network.

High-value compliance was manual. Purchases above ₹10 lakh require PAN validation. In the old workflow, a regulatory requirement became an operational bottleneck, handled outside the transaction flow rather than inside it.

B2B billing couldn't happen at the counter. Business customers couldn't be billed directly from the POS. Checkout slowed, billing was delayed, and the customer experience suffered at exactly the moment it mattered most.

The cost of the old setup showed up everywhere the intake teams looked: delayed decisions, stock leakage, stock-outs, reconciliation effort, errors, and lost sales.

Why CW Suite

Kamal Watch Company didn't need another ERP. It needed a platform that could adapt to how the business actually operates — and keep adapting as it grows.

CW Suite was selected for a simple, scalable architecture backed by fast development of user-friendly applications. The specific feature and customisation requests that the previous software couldn't fulfil became the starting point of the engagement, not an afterthought.

"What we particularly value about CW is their willingness to listen, customise and continuously evolve the platform with us. They have approached our requirements as business problems to be solved rather than simply features to be delivered."

— Siddhanth Totla, Director, Kamal Watch Company Pvt. Ltd.

The solution

Kamal Watch Company's entire operation now runs on CW Suite. The implementation covered the full platform:

  • ERP, Finance and Warehouse — the transactional and financial core, with the integrated finance module handling reconciliations natively

  • POS with B2B billing — business customers billed directly at the counter, removing the checkout bottleneck

  • Inventory, Production and Distribution — stock visibility and movement across the full network

  • CRM and Loyalty — every sale creating a customer record, not just a receipt

  • OMNI Connect — unified order management across e-commerce and marketplace channels, with seamless order relay from every channel into one operational flow

  • Replenishment App — purchase requisitions simplified from a multi-step approval chase into a streamlined, system-driven flow

Integrations completed:

  • Payments: HDFC, Pine Labs

  • E-commerce: Shopify

  • Compliance: Master India — full GST, TCS and PAN functionality, bringing the ₹10 lakh PAN validation requirement inside the transaction flow where it belongs

The implementation

The rollout followed CW Suite's structured methodology: discovery, process mapping, configuration, migration, pilot, training, go-live.

Everything moved: products, customers, inventory, vendors, ledgers, BOMs and loyalty history — a complete migration, not a partial one. Around 300 users were trained across store and management teams, supported by detailed user manuals, clear product documentation, structured training sessions and hands-on learning. That documentation-first approach proved decisive: teams understood new features quickly, adoption was smooth, and go-live across the full network completed within 15–20 days.

The outcome

The immediate change was visible in the daily rhythm of the business: streamlined workflows for purchasing, inventory movement, billing and order processing, with fewer manual steps and better coordination across functions.

The deeper change is structural. Kamal Watch Company moved from fragmented workflows to a unified retail ecosystem — centralised control over inventory, purchasing, POS, e-commerce, orders and finance across an expanding store network, on a single platform.

In the Director's own words, the transformation is showing up at every level of the organisation:

"Our stores today have much better access to information and are able to perform several activities independently that earlier required coordination with the back office."

"We have moved towards automated reporting and greater real-time visibility, reducing our dependence on manually prepared information."

"In areas such as inventory, we are beginning to use data and intelligence not just to understand what stock we have, but to help determine how that stock should be managed and deployed across our network."

"These may appear to be operational changes individually, but at our scale, together they represent a significant transformation in how the organisation functions."

What makes this implementation distinctive

Scale, speed and specificity — together.

A large multi-location luxury watch retail operation moved onto a unified platform in under 13 weeks. The scope spanned POS, inventory, purchasing, finance, e-commerce, order management and replenishment, with integrations across Shopify, HDFC, Pine Labs and Master India. And the build addressed workflows specific to high-value retail — PAN validation on large purchases, B2B billing at the counter, multi-channel order management — rather than forcing the business into a generic template.

Broad in scope. Specific to the client. Delivered ahead of plan.

"For us, CW is no longer just an ERP platform. It is gradually becoming the technology backbone of Kamal Watch Company, helping connect our stores, teams, processes and information on a common platform."

— Siddhanth Totla, Director, Kamal Watch Company Pvt. Ltd.

The operating system for retail

CW Suite unifies ERP, POS, CRM, Apps and AI in a single ledger — so one transaction simultaneously creates a customer record, an inventory movement, a financial posting and a replenishment signal.

Kamal Watch Company runs on it. Your retail network can too.
